Everyone has a story. I love that. One of my favorite things is to hear other people’s stories. So, please leave me a comment in the box at the bottom of the page and tell me yours!
And my story?…the truth is I never intended to start a blog!
My name is Linda and I have been sewing since my father taught me how to sew at age seven! It’s a life long passion of mine. I graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Textiles and Clothing in 1983. I have owned and operated a bridal business since 1984 and have sewn and altered clothes since 1988.
My purpose in writing this blog is to teach you how to sew and alter clothing and home decor for fun or profit. While there are many books on the subject, I think most fall short in giving you complete and precise details with photos for each step. My hope is that this will be a valuable destination for you to learn many techniques and tips.
My husband and I have been married 34 years and he’s an amazing man. He’s a CFO and an incredible fisherman (used to be a guide) and hunter. We have two awesome daughters ages 30 and 32. The older one is married to a wonderful man and they have 3 adorable kids. Our younger daughter lives close by and works in the mortgage industry. We all love the Lord Jesus Christ and revel in his amazing gift of salvation.
I’m fond of the cottage and farmhouse looks and I love the colors blue, green and pink. When I’m not sewing, you’ll find me reading, making quilts and crafts, or puttering in the garden. We have a cat named Bob and 10 fish in a small pond in the backyard.
Enjoy this site. I welcome your feedback!
